When Riolu asked Sunshadow to babysit toddler Paupricosh and give her a bath, this isn’t exactly what he meant.
Oh well. At least she seems to be enjoying spending time with her uncle.

The Diaries of Riolu Ungart: Part 9.1; What now?
Since we were hired by Decambria and her husband, several weeks have passed. In that time, Sunshadow has been comuning with his religious order and working on a secret project, Staab has been fighting in the arenas for fun and for money, and I have been working with Rosa. I took her shopping for new equipment, I made an offer on the former “Slave Trader Joe’s” building and it went through, and we have been working on converting it into a keep for us to live in. We cleaned out the place, turned the dungeon area into a series of bedrooms, converted the lobby into a common room, and installed a kitchen. I’ve focused on the backyard area and making a lovely garden. I cobbled a pathway around the area and center fountain, planted some of the herbs I got from the Eccentric Herbalist, placed strawberry beds around the entire area, Finally, I finished the garden by caring for the lone tree and made it my sleeping quarters.
We’ve worked a few jobs for our new employers to pay them back for the start-up funds they gave us to purchase and renovate the building, and by now have broke even. However, trouble was brewing once more as reports of a powerful demon has been sighted in the surrounding areas. Further investigation has proved that this demon is a Balor, the very same as the one that attacked the king all that time ago when we first met.
Staab didn’t know nor did he care about the beast, as he felt no obligation to take care of it. However, Sunshadow and I both knew that we couldn’t let the Balor harm anyone else, and we began making preparations for how to deal with it.
Rosa stepped forward to us and spoke to the group for the first time. She revealed that she is what’s known as a Mystic (Awakened), and is willing to fight the beast with us. However, the 3 of us would still be no match for the beast. Sunshadow remembered that there were 3 more people we haven’t considered in quite some time. Vanta Nailo the Half-Elf Monk, Credelia the Tiefling Warlock, and Destin the ??? Blademage. However, we weren’t sure how to contact them and summon them. Or at least, as far as they knew.
That night while in my tree, I took off my glove and uncovered my dark vein. With my other hand, I clutched my veined wrist and began meditating. As my meditation reached its peak, my mind was transported to the Realm of Dreams, and I found myself in the same Sailor Moon transforming state I was the last time, only this time I found myself in the reading room of The Dream Man.
He sat in his luxurious chair by the fireplace with beautiful book in one hand and glass of Rose Wine in the other, with the bottle sitting on an end table next to him just to the right of a cheese platter.

After taking care of the issue of Joe, we made our way to Decambria’s manor (the place was huge, and we were invited so it was all right). The second we made it up the front walk, Sunshadow decided to kick down the door, breaking it off its hinges, and stormed into the manor, all the while yelling “DECAPITATION! TRAGEDY!” (he confused her name).
Sitting by the fireplace, reading a book, we see a rather handsome Alucard-looking man look up with contempt at Sunshadow, clearly perturbed. He raises an eyebrow and says,”Can I help you?”
Sunshadow just replied,”DECAPITATION! TRAGEDY!”
Sunshadow used his sixth sense for good and evil and felt a wicked presence behind the door to the left of the stairwell. he gripped the doorknob and it was crushed in his mighty grip. Sunshadow then had the brilliant idea of punching through the door and reaching around to the other doorknob. He gently opened that one.
The door flew open and Sunshadow drew his mighty Sunblade, screaming out “THE LIGHT PURGES”, causing the blade to awaken into a beam of golden radiance. The target of this radiance was the succubus before him, making a pot of tea. This succubus being the one and only Decambria Tragedy.
Meanwhile, Staab and I entered the sitting room with the man whom clearly doesn’t care for random company that destroys his door.
“I’ll ask it again. Can I help you?”
Staab just giggled in the most annoying way, clearly showing no respect for the property of others.
I respond,”I’m terribly sorry about my compatriots here. We were invited by a miss Tragedy the day before last.” I retrieve my wallet from my Garter of Holding and open the snap. “If you would like, I would be happy to pay for any damages that have come to your lovely home as a result of our recklessness.”
The man waved while shaking his head no. “No, no it’s fine. We have more money than we know what to do with. I’m much more concerned with what your metallic friend is going to do.”
Riolu:”There’s no need to worry about him. He malfunctions from time to time, but they tend to be short-lived. By now he should’ve calmed down.”
Turns out I was right, because Sunshadow ended up walking out of the room with Decambria a few moments later, with Sunshadow having a new dent in his head.
We ended up being invited to dinner by the couple, and we were told the most beautiful love story. The man (who I now know to be her husband) was a human who was able to resist Decambria’s charm spell, because he truly fell in love with her. She tried to chase him away to prevent him from coming to harm (because she quite liked him too), but he wouldn’t let down. After about ten years, she couldn’t resist her feelings anymore, and they ended up together. She turned him into a vampire so they could be immortal together.
After tea and dinner, Sunshadow fixed their door and signed the boot print he made on it. I told them the story of Michael Sunshadow (the one he told me when we first met).
I told him he was just a tabaxi warrior in his homeland millenia ago, before the Nine Hells broke loose and ravaged the world. In his attempt to fight back against the fiendish onslaught, he was killed. But before he died, he swore his revenge against the beings that took away his home, his family, and his life, and his soul was sealed inside his Holy Symbol. Centuries later, the warforged was created, and his church had an idea. They used Sunshadow’s Holy Symbol to give him new life in a mechanical body. Over the millenia, he had to repair pieces of him that broke with whatever he could find, to the point where now his body is a random hodgepodge of various warforged and golem parts mashed together.
“His body is in bad shape, and he malfunctions from time to time. We have a goal to build him a new body, in reference to how he was in his youth.” I pull out my set of scrolls and pull out the sketch I did of what I imagine a warforged tabaxi would look like.
The vampire lord looked over it carefully. “So you’re wanting to create a metal tiger body for your friend?” I nodded. “If that’s the case, I may be able to assist you in this endeavor. I have allies in the Dwarven Kingdom who are rather capable at building golems and warforged. I have Elven allies here in the alliance that could aide in the tailoring of the fur skin. However, this will be an expensive and lengthy process. At the very earliest, four months.”
I continue listening very carefully. “I will not pay for this; however, as a thank you for helping my wife get back home relatively safely, I will employ you and pay you for your efforts.”
This is the end of the material I have from the campaign thus far, and I’m not sure when there will be more. I’m not the most mentally well person as of yet, and so I’ve distanced myself from the other 3 to prevent further harm from coming to them. My goal as of right now is to try and stabilize myself, and that is proving to be a difficult task.

The Diaries of Riolu Ungart: Part 8.2; Slave Trader Joe Redux, Enter D-O
We find ourselves on the doorstep of “Slave Trader Joe’s”, and we find that the shop is really run down. The lobby is dimly lit, filthy, and vacant, aside from the sniveling Joe hiding behind his desk piled high with overdue bills. Staab rings the bell, and Joe peeks his eyes up to see who it is.
Joe: “What ‘er ya doin” out an’ about? There’s an Owlbear out there!”
Sunshadow laughs and responds: “Hahaha! We took care of the Owlbear.”
I hold out my Staff of the Woodlands, showing Joe the Owlbear fur on it (from the first session) and exclaim “Yes. And here’s some of its fur as proof.”
Joe took a look at it, and started to poke holes in our story. “Why is it already cleaned and woven? And where are ma men and merchandise?”
Staab took the front and used an intimidating deception. “Don’t. Worry. About. It.” Joe immediately shut up.
Joe attempted to change the subject. “So, uh, thanks for takin’ care of the Owlbear. How ‘bout I give you a discount on anyone in the back? We thanked him, and Joe took us to the back of his shop. It was a standard looking dungeon-y place with torch lighting, and filled wall to wall with cages. In one cage, there was a small, young, purple-y burgundy Kobold curled up like a puppy. In another, there was a human man (who CLEARLY lifts).
Riolu: “How much for the Kobold?”
Joe looks surprised. “Him? You can just have ‘em. I’ve got no use for ‘em.”
Joe unlocks the cage and the now very excited Kobold comes over and gives the 3 of us hugs and kisses.
Sunshadow: “How about the man?”
Joe contemplates for a moment. “500 gold for ‘em. I promise he’s a hard worker. Ain’t that right Jim?” Jim ignores the notion.
I pick the kobold up in my arms, and I tell Joe “My friends here will handle payment.” I begin to walk out, but on my way I pull Sunshadow down to my level and whisper in his ear, “Do whatever to want to Joe. Have fun.” I then walk out of the backroom, through the lobby, and then exit the shop.
I put the kobold down and he sits like a dog and is just precious. “How about we name you Diogi? (Milo Murphy reference)”
He tilts his head. “D-d-d-O IT’S ME DIO! MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA MUDA!” And he starts rapidly (but softly) punching my leg.
Riolu: “All right, D-O it is.”
While I take the muda volley to my shin, I hear what sounds like a slave trader pleading for his life in tears, and then is suddenly silenced. A few moments later, Sunshadow, Staab, and Jim walk out of the shop, all covered in blood.
Sunshadow: “IT’S, FINISHED!” He had the biggest grin on his face, having just dealt out dark justice. Jim looks mortified. I reach into my Garter of Holding and pull out an apple. “Would you like an apple?” He just stares at it.
JIm: “You know, of everything that happened to me this month, from being captured by that pig of a man Joe, to being held in a cage with no sun, to watching that metal guy slice up Joe with a light sword, to seeing whatever that red and black thing do terrible things to the body with daggers that I would soon like to forget, YOU AND YOUR APPLE IS THE MOST DISTURBING!”
Sunshadow puts his hand on Jim’s shoulder. “Hahaha! Don’t worry friend. You’re free now, and Joe is no more. Him and his men.”
JIm has the most spooked expression I’ve ever seen on a person before. “Please. I just want to go home to my wife and daughter.”
So we end up walking him the two blocks to his home, and Sunshadow leaves him with 9 gold. I leave him with a basket of apples for his family.
Now that Joe is no more and the people are freed, we make our way to Decambria’s manor.
