the reason I like tumblr is because it’s so easy not to be found here. I don’t have to worry about people from real life being able to find me bc I can hide my blog from search engine results. I can be openly gay here and have a little space to myself to explore my interests and stuff. Social media has always made me really anxious as I’m a naturally reserved person. I’m reluctant to use such widely used sites like Instagram and twitter because I don’t want my family or friends I’m not too close to find me on there ! And also why the fuck do twitter and Instagram make your following and likes public
exactly like these sites DEMAND access to your contacts and phone number and even when you say no they still recommend you to other people based on your phone number and real life proximity to other users. That’s so fucking creepy. I do so miss the old days of the internet where everything wasn’t so connected to your day to day life.
Hey all, just a reminder if you are migrating to twitter in these next few weeks, I am there under the same name! And my too-steamy-for-tumblr tense stand-off fan art and online stores won’t be getting censored… for now, anyway. 😂😩
I won’t be leaving tumblr, I’ll see how many of my posts the new algorithm lets through in the long run, but I do post a lot more often on twitter, anyway, so…
u can tell who the ancients of tumblr are bc they’re the ones not posting anything abt where to find them if this site collapses…we know this site isnt going anywhere….the apocalypse couldnt stop this garbage…..it has the cybernetic code of a cockroach
Like. I’m a firm believer that porn online shouldn’t be within kids reach (those “are you 18” checkboxes for life) but. Like. Ok first of all, just ban cp? It’s not hard? Cp is what got you into this mess just ban it. Second of all, you could increase the age of sign-up from 13 to 18. Third of all, you could do what deviantart does and just. Require birthdays at sign-up. If your blog is flagged as nsfw, you can’t interact with minors. You want to follow an nsfw blog? Prove you’re an adult. You’re an adult but don’t want to see nsfw content? Safe search (that actually works).
It’s not hard to make a functioning website, but staff doesn’t seem to want to do that.
My text posts aren’t appearing on my blog anymore. actually, I’m not even sure if it’ll reach anyone on the dashboard. it’s this way for other users too.
so when the time comes I’m going to delete everything from this post back to the Acy drawing I did. if anything, I want her to be the last thing on this blog, given that she’s everything I want this blog to represent.
like I’ve posted before, my twitter’s right here. I don’t like it at all, but until a better alternative pops up, that’s where I’ll be.
