This might be a bit personal, but why does it seem like in a lot of pictures Helen’s wearing men’s underwear? Also, how tall are Gail and Helen respectively?

I think you mean Gail, because I’m pretty sure I haven’t ever drawn Helen in boxers or briefs! 😂

Gail generally leans towards more androgynous/less femme clothing.  She finds men’s clothes more comfortable, and feels shy about wearing more “girly” clothes because she doesn’t think of herself as being very pretty or being able to pull it off.  She grew up on a farm in Kansas with her aunt and uncle who dressed for convenience vs fashion, so “dressing up” or making her appearance more conventionally feminine wasn’t ever a huge concern.  

Helen, on the other hand, has always had a lot of ambition and learned early on how to present herself to get what she wanted- and this generally meant being conventionally pretty and feminine.  In her youth she was also quite vain so she enjoyed indulging in stereotypically feminine rituals of makeup and fashion.  Once she learns Gail hasn’t ever had someone to explore those things with, Helen takes it upon herself to teach her.  Gail enjoys being pampered and preened, even if it’s only for the hands-on attention. ❤
