Seeing family for the first time after transition is always scary. For me, these moments were filled with uncertainty and fear, but also determination and hope. Even now, almost two years into my transition, I still feel that roller-coaster-drop wave of nerves before I reintroduce myself to someone I haven’t seen in a long time. I hope we one day live in a world where trans people never have to worry about moments like this, and they can just look forward to celebrating their best and truest selves.

I also want to give my family a shout out for learning with me during my transition and being supportive, loving, and welcoming

everyone in fantasy novels is horny on main for elves and it’s honestly a travesty like why the hell would you want to marry an elf you’ll just spend the rest of your days growing old in the woods with a bunch of immortal bastards whose heads are so far up their asses they think singing week-long ballads is prime entertainment and say shit like “thou” and “beseech” unironically y’all should be hooking up with dwarves who 1. actually know how to throw the fuck down and let loose at a party 2. will literally shower you in diamond dust and gold they mined and crafted with their bare hands and 3. can sling you over their shoulder like a sack of potatoes with their huge muscular arms developed from hours of said mining and crafting. there’s literally no contest.

This is really sweet

So for my AP United States History class we have to write a research paper; my topic is the gay rights movement in America. Today I began reading one of the books that I chose as a source

And I opened it up to the dedication page and found this

And if you don’t think that’s one of the sweetest and most romantic things ever then get out of my face

Ok, for the record, the author of this book, Jonathan Rauch, is a friend of my family, I’ve known him since I was a little kid, and I am here to tell you all that he and Michael have been together for 20-odd years now, got married in 2010, and remain to this day obviously, excessively, and adorably in love.

Anyway, they’re cute. Thought y’all would want to know.

My Daughter, The Jock

Oh no, I’m crying.

This is one of my favorite things about being a parent: how you learn things that you might not have had to otherwise. That’s the thing about it–yes, I love my daughter and she is the focus of my parenting goals, but my experiences with her have helped me learn and grow in ways I never expected, and I’m grateful.

@warriormale there’s some themes in here you’ll like

Yes, I agree.

In the world of training and fighting, everyone trains.

Everyone!

We all train and grow together!

No one is left behind!
