I doubt that.  Gail never learned to drive, much less got a license.  Violet’s probably a better driver than she is. :’)

The only time Gail’s ever driven is the very rare occasion she and Helen went to a party in Helen’s dad’s Thunderbird, and Helen got too drunk to drive them back home, so Gail tried to do it.  She didn’t follow most signs or traffic laws, went at about 20 mph the entire time (much to the fury of everyone honking behind her) and the constant lurching/bad driving made Helen sick.  It’s a miracle they made it home. (Helen was always a lot more careful not to drink too much after that…)

Thank you! I’ve answered this question a while back.  Since then, I’ve learned that sometimes women with very red hair find their hair turns darker/more brown after having children.  Being on her third baby at this point, this would give even more reasoning as to why Helen’s hair is far closer to “brown” than “red” in her forties.
