Proposal: as you said on your “Helen has a type” posting, where gale was lifting the car, you said Supers get brand deals. Suppose gale got such a brand deal as well, but as part of the contract she had to wear that orange costume we see her wearing (briefly) in canon.

Oh, very interesting idea!  Sad that she “dies” in the ugliest costume ever, though. :’’D (Maybe it was poorly designed to not include a quick-release on the cape attachment.  Yikes.  Whatever CEO/company contracted her to wear it probably got sued into bankrupcy, not just because of Gail’s demise but everyone else who went down with the plane.)
