She snapped her fingers.
“ACHTUNG BABY!!”
And with that command, Shizuka Joestar’s Stand fully forms, moving like a dancer. Josuke leaps away from the door the moment the Stand completes its dance, and instantly disappears along with Shizuka.
The crowd bursts into the kitchen, howling battle cries. These screams become groans of confusion when they see nothing at all. Their blood still boiling, they begin trashing the room, breaking things, wrecking shelves and dressers. Eventually, the crowd begins to turn on each other.
As the brawl commences, the back-door opening goes unnoticed. Invisible, Josuke and Shizuka slip outside, keeping silent. ACHTUNG BABY can only control sight, not sound. The siblings remain silent and invisible even after leaping over the back wall, only becoming visible again after creeping out of the neighborhood.
“…I think we’re safe now,” Josuke says, checking around the corner with caution, “damn that old bastard. Using innocent people to attack us like that. With any luck, someone will have already called the police, but I’d better call some guys around anyway.”
Shizuka doesn’t reply.
“…It’s crazy to think Sanjo just happened to be the Korean gang boss, and he just happened to have a Stand. This is just GREAT. If I had time, I’d call Okuyasu, or even Rohan, not that he’d help anyway. Koichi’s in Tokyo, and at this time, Okuyasu’ll be on the other side of town, there’s no way he’ll make it here in time.”
Shizuka doesn’t reply. Josuke stops his rant, and takes a breath, as he looks down at his sister, a feeling of pride. At least, pride that wasn’t masked in worry and concern.
“…I owe you one for saving us back there. Thanks, Shizuka.”
She looks up at him, keeping quiet.
“…But I stand by what I said. You’re not safe out here, and I don’t know if I can protect you. Please, I want you to go home and let me take care of this. The old man… Dad would have wanted me to take care of you…”
“Josuke,” she says, shutting him up. “I’ve just witnessed a criminal manipulate innocent people into becoming mindless savages, after he tried to kill the two of us. And before that, he lured us into his house by using my desire to find my mom against me. Wasted our time with a fake story, lied to us. Lied to me. Deceived me.” Something dark passes over Shizuka’s face. Josuke blinks in shock as his sister’s face contorts into a purely hateful scowl. “Do you know how much I hate that?” she says, in a voice approaching a snarl.
As quickly as the change came over her, it vanishes. Josuke is speechless still. Shizuka lets out a single, light breath. Returned to normal, it seems, but Josuke can still see the anger there. “Besides, if you can’t protect me against him, then how do you expect to protect yourself? Doesn’t it make more sense to protect each other?”
“…Just don’t wreck him too hard, OK? Leave some for me.”
She smiles at him. “I’ll do my best.”
The policeman sighs, and takes out his cellphone. He calls the station, and learns that two units are already inbound to deal with the incident at this forgotten neighborhood.
