Shoutout to sapphic women who can’t present themselves (physically, behaviorally, etc.) the way they’d like to.
To sapphic women who would prefer to dress in a more “stereotypically gay” way but can’t because they’re in the closet.
To sapphic women who purposely dress in a “stereotypically gay” way because it makes them feel more valid or believable in their identity, even if they’d actually rather dress differently.
To disabled sapphic women whose disability interferes with their ability to present in a certain way.
To religious sapphic women whose religion carries expectations that conflict with the way they’d like to dress or act.
To sapphic women who can’t buy the clothes they want due to financial constraints, and to sapphic women who want to bind, start HRT, or other forms of physical transition, but can’t
due to their financial situation and/or health.
To sapphic trans women who are closeted, or are partially or fully out but can’t present the way they want to for safety reasons.
You are not invisible. I see you, and you are absolutely stunning both inside and out. Your sapphicism matters and is 100% real, no matter how you look or what cultural roles you find yourself placed into. I hope one day you can present yourself in a way that allows people to see you for who you feel you are.
